Three Trips

Three Trips is an information design project created in Adobe InDesign that explores how visual storytelling and wayfinding principles can be used to communicate travel experiences. The project maps three distinct journeys from Boston to key destinations: Ryder Hall at Northeastern University, my family home in Port Washington, New York, and The Murrayfield Hotel in Scotland.

The objective was to transform complex travel information into a clear and engaging visual narrative. To achieve this, I developed a cohesive system of custom icons, layouts, and supporting graphics that guide viewers through each journey while maintaining consistency across the project.

Particular attention was given to icon design, visual hierarchy, and information organization to ensure that each route could be easily understood at a glance. The custom icon set was designed to communicate key moments and transportation methods while creating a unified visual language throughout the piece.

The final design demonstrates how information design can simplify complex travel data and create an engaging, easy-to-navigate experience. The project highlights the importance of visual systems, iconography, and clear communication in transforming detailed information into accessible and compelling content.
